Preparing Your Pup for Holiday Boarding

With the holidays right around the corner, now’s the time to prepare your pup for holiday boarding if you’re going to be traveling. Before you drop your pup off, though, it’s important to review the pre-boarding checklist to make sure that you and your dog are both prepared! Please review the following and, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to our staff at Happy Pup Manor directly.

Know Our Holiday Policies and Rates

The first thing to do before booking your pup’s stay at our manor is to review our holiday policies and rates. Typically, we have a three-night minimum stay requirement, but during the holidays, this increases to an eight-night minimum. The holidays that are subject to the eight-night minimum include end-of-the-year celebrations, Spring Break, and the first two weeks of August.

Our rate is $82 per night, which typically includes chauffeur pick-up and drop-off services. However, note that during the holiday period we do not offer pup pick-up and drop-off. This includes Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s, Easter, and Thanksgiving.

Check Vaccination Status

In order for your pup to stay at our manor, you must send over their veterinary records and they must be up to date on all of their vaccines. If your pup does not have their current vaccinations, we can’t accept them. Vaccinations required for pups six months of age and older include bordetella, rabies, DHPP, and a clean fecal within the last six months. For puppies under six months of age, we require a clean fecal.

Pack Fido’s Food

When you choose to book at Happy Pup Manor, we make it easy by hardly requiring you to bring anything at all for your pup! In fact, the only thing that your pup needs to bring is their food. We ask that you please bring your pup’s food in a disposable bag and bring enough for their entire stay. We do accommodate raw diets, but ask that meals are individually proportioned in disposable bags.

If your pup needs medication during their stay, we can help with that! Please provide us with medication instructions at the time of registration and we’ll make sure your pup gets what they need.

Make Your Reservation

Once you’ve reviewed the following and other frequently asked questions, you’re ready to book your stay! To make your reservation, use our online registration portal. This is also where you’ll upload vet records and any additional information about your pup, such as medications they need.

If you have questions, please feel free to call us directly! We look forward to meeting your pup!
