Breeds We Work With

At Happy Pup Manor, we primarily work with retrievers and doodles. Sometimes, we accept other small-breed dogs. By working with specific breeds, we’ve been able to dial in on these breeds’ behaviors and develop training programs based on these dogs’ personalities that work. Our basic training program is offered for 10-day periods, four-week periods, or eight-week periods. We recommend the 10-day program for puppy parents who want their pup to just learn the basics, and the longer programs for puppy parents who are serious about establishing good behaviors for life or who are thinking about enrolling their pup in one of our more intense training programs, such as the service dog or therapy dog training program.

Therapy dog training takes a total of eight weeks at Happy Pup Manor, divided into two different four-week sessions. Service dog training is more intense. After a 28-day obedience program, a dog training to be a service dog will be enrolled in an eight- to 12-week program that’s tailored to the owner’s goals and needs.
