While getting a new puppy can be a wonderful experience, a new pup is also a lot of work. At Happy Pup Manor, we know that a well-trained pup can make a world of difference when it comes to your comfort, convenience, and peace of mind. When you choose our team, you’ll benefit from the best Park Ridge puppy training services. At Happy Pup Manor, we strive to teach the most important and basic commands and manners. While staying at our spacious manor your pup will learn how to walk on a leash and how to wait when meeting new guests, as well as basic commands like sit, stay, come, leave it, down, and place. Your pup will learn to demonstrate politeness related to barking and biting and learn not to counter surf. We’ll also work on housetraining manners and crate training.
Before you choose Happy Pup Manor for your new pup’s training, you surely want to know as much as possible about our manor and our training philosophy.
First, we know that puppies are exactly that–puppies. This means that they want an opportunity to play! When class is not in session, pups have access to five acres of yard and 5,000 square feet of the indoor play area.
We offer different lengths of training programs so that you can choose the option that works best with your schedule. Our programs run for 10 days, four weeks, eight weeks, 12 weeks, or even 16 weeks if needed. If you’re not sure what training program length would be best, please talk to us–we’d be happy to provide you with information that’s specific to your needs and training goals.
We primarily use positive reinforcement training with corrections where necessary. Our training works, and the pups that we work with–and the humans they live with–are thrilled with our results. Not only do we use a training philosophy that’s effective, but our trainers love what they do.
One of the things that makes our training so effective is the fact that our training is breed specific. We exclusively work with doodles, retrievers, and some other smaller breeds. Additionally, we primarily work with puppies–the younger the better. However, we also know that each pup has its own personality and, as such, we make sure our training is personalized to the pup we’re working with.
Doodles have a temperament that is well-suited to working as a service dog, and they make wonderful therapy or emotional support dogs. At Happy Pup Manor, our expertise with these breeds has made us very successful in training pups for each of these important jobs.
