What to Expect During Dog Training Near Northbrook

When your puppy comes to train with Happy Pup Manor, they will be staying in our 6,500 square foot home, with access to our fully-fenced, 5-acre yard. We like training in our home because it provides pups with an environment similar to their own. Home-based training helps your puppy to connect their training with their everyday lives. If they are being tempted with home-like stimulation – such as yummy smells from the kitchen, visitors at the door, and plenty of opportunities to snuggle or play – it helps to reinforce the desired behaviors and teach them to block out the distractions. 

Each puppy has different training needs and goals, which is why we offer one hour of 1:1 training each day your pup is with us. During this time, specific training goals will be covered, and their trainer will have a better opportunity to assess their progress. We can then adjust their training and the approach we are taking to help them learn better and reinforce the desired behaviors and commands.
